We don’t often hear about the topic of recycling in the film industry but it is important because movie sets do create a great deal of waste. However, thanks to a newly formed group called the Solid Waste Task Force, we are beginning to learn more about the interesting topic. The group was formed due to collaboration between the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producer’s. The group’s major focus at this time is making the film industry a more eco friendly business through bringing about a reduction in Hollywood’s ecological footprint.
